First Point Group are recruiting for a Head of Operations / Operations Director with extensive experience in leading RAN infrastructure rollout projects and teams within the UK and/or European telecom market. As a Telecoms Leader, you will spearhead and oversee UK operations including P&L, agree KPIs and build positive and long-term relationships with clients (the UK's leading mobile telecom operators). It is essential that you have extensive RAN rollout experience and any SWAP / Modernisation experience would be a massive bonus so we would love to see anyone with working experience at the likes of Ericsson, Nokia / IRIS, Huawei or other similar telecom companies involved in RAN rollout projects.

The Head of Operations holds ultimate responsibility for aligning each account's P&L, forecast, and budget with agreed business requirements. Reporting to C-level, this role involves directly managing each account manager. The strategy for the UK includes build, delivery and maintenance of key telecom projects including the management of the PMO and field teams that include both direct and subcontract labor.

As a key member of the Executive team, the role involves:

- Providing robust leadership to internal managers and their teams responsible for building and maintaining telecoms networks - this includes fixed line, mobile wireless and EV verticles (EV experience is not mandatory).
- Holding commercial accountability for all accounts in their business regions, requiring close collaboration with our commercial team.
- Collaborating closely with the Ops Manager in the other business region.
- Designing and agreeing upon annual KPIs for each division with relevant managers to meet strategic and budget targets.
- Ensuring account managers' P&Ls, budgets, and forecasts align with agreed business requirements weekly.
- Directly addressing operational issues from Account Managers across all accounts.
- Participating in weekly client meetings with Account Managers and engaging with clients face-to-face to gain a comprehensive understanding of how clients perceive us as a supply partner.
- Managing client relationships from the delivery perspective, ensuring compliance with engagement terms in terms of delivery, commercial aspects, and safety.
- Overseeing the vetting and hiring of direct employees and contracting partners.
- Collaborating with account managers on terms and rates for both direct employees and contracting partners.
- Facilitating communication between technical, design, and delivery teams.
- Possessing RAN/MW roll-out experience.
- Approving and assisting, where necessary, with potential business tendering requirements.
- Building and managing credible, trusted relationships with key clients.
- Ensuring relevant client reporting adheres to agreed standards, schedule, and accuracy.

Additionally, the job specification includes:

- Ensuring a proactive approach to operational and service issues, meeting all KPIs and SLAs for build and maintenance.
- Timely reporting and escalation of service delivery issues to C-Level.
- Attendance at monthly business review meetings and weekly finance meetings.
- Addressing ad-hoc queries of a business unit nature.
- Responsibility for ensuring Performance Reviews are carried out.
- Enforcing adherence to legal guidelines and championing compliance with our client's policies and procedures to maintain the company's legality and business ethics.
