FPG has an excellent opportunity for a GDPR Specialist / Data Protection Specialist with extensive experience with DPIA / DPIA's to work with an internationally renown and global brand within technology. Remote / hybrid working can be considered for a GDPR Expert that is passionate about Privacy and Data Protection.

This is a 6-month extendable contract to start in early April (a 1-month notice period can be accommodated for).

The role involves a comprehensive review of Talent Acquisition processes and systems. The Privacy Specialist will update documentation, directives, privacy notifications, Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA), process mapping, and document AI utilization. The objective is to ensure compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR and offer best-practice guidance to our People and Talent Acquisition teams.

Responsibilities:
- Produce and submit required documentation to secure the approval of Data Privacy Officers (DPO) across multiple markets, ensuring that Talent Acquisition processes adhere to Privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with local and global DPOs, Legal Functions, and Unions / Works Councils to fully document and explain recruitment processes in compliance with local privacy requirements.
- Offer expert advice to the Talent Acquisition team on data privacy requirements and best practices throughout the recruitment cycle, from candidate sourcing to onboarding and retention.
- Liaise with recruitment process owners and system vendors to gather the necessary information for completing privacy documentation.
- Evaluate data protection risks and ensure that data handling practices comply with applicable regulations.
- Assist internal stakeholders in developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures tailored to the recruitment function, including candidate data management, consent management, and data retention.
- Monitor changes in data protection legislation and industry best practices, proactively suggesting and implementing modifications to recruitment processes to maintain compliance.
- Review AI functionality in the recruitment system; collaborate with system vendors to document AI sub-processes and functionality. Update Privacy Notices where AI is utilized.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions for the People and Talent Acquisition teams on data protection principles, regulations, and best practices, cultivating a culture of data protection awareness and accountability.


Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in a data protection, privacy, or compliance role with a focus on HR/recruitment processes and practices.
- Experience with HR data is beneficial, specifically lawful basis for processing personal data (e.g. legitimate interest, contractual obligation)
- Comprehensive knowledge of data protection regulations, such as GDPR, and their application to recruitment activities, including data transfer mechanisms, consent management, and data subject rights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex data protection concepts to non-experts.
- Experience in conducting data protection impact assessments, audits, and risk assessments, and in developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with HR systems and data processing technologies, along with the ability to assess and mitigate data protection risks associated with these tools.
