Senior Survey Technician (Offshore – U.S. Waters)
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Survey Technician to support operations on the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm (CVOW) aboard an offshore vessel. This is a rotational offshore contract role, offering a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile renewable energy project in U.S. waters.
Location: Offshore, United States
Rotation: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off
Working Hours: 12 hours per day
Contract Duration: 5th September 2025 – 31st December 2025
Daily Rate: Neg
Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled professional to join as a Senior Survey Technician. The Survey Department plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely geospatial data, supporting the safe and efficient execution of offshore operations. Working in close collaboration with Project Management and Client Representatives, the team ensures compliance with contractual and technical specifications at all stages of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, install, and maintain offshore survey and measurement equipment.
Conduct survey data collection and field checks before, during, and after project execution.
Analyse, verify, and interpret collected data, and produce comprehensive technical reports.
Maintain well-structured databases of survey information.
Identify non-conformities and propose practical solutions and improvements.
Manage and process bathymetric, positioning, and geophysical data collected during operations.
Communicate findings effectively with internal teams and client representatives.
Candidate Requirements
Technical Experience
A minimum of 7 years’ offshore experience in a Survey Technician role.
Strong expertise with survey instrumentation and data processing software.
Demonstrated ability to meet reporting and delivery deadlines under pressure.
Personal Attributes
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and highly organised, with a professional approach to offshore work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, or Geospatial Science.
