First Point Group is recruiting for a Rigging Team Leader with extensive experience in telecom rigging operations, including the installation of feeders, antennas, mast head amplifiers (MHAs), and related equipment across the UK. The successful candidate will be fully certified (Advanced Climber, Working at Height, RF Awareness, Emergency First Aid at Height, etc.), possess a deep understanding of rigging safety standards, and have hands-on experience managing site access, documentation (RAMS, DRA), and Safe System of Work (SSoW) compliance.
Our client is a leading UK telecom infrastructure provider delivering critical mobile network projects in partnership with top-tier operators. Candidates without prior rigging experience in telecom environments or the required safety certifications will not be considered.
Your responsibilities – 60% hands-on rigging & installation | 25% site leadership & safety compliance | 15% documentation & handover.

Role Overview
A well-established engineering services provider is looking for a Rigging Team Leader to oversee and execute telecom rigging activities across the UK. This position involves the installation of antennas, feeders, mast head amplifiers (MHAs), and related infrastructure in accordance with project documentation, drawings, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage site access and ensure all team members are registered and logged on/off site
Complete all handover documentation to the required standards
Ensure site-specific documentation (RAMS, DRA) is properly understood and followed
Inspect PPE, tools, and equipment before use, and report any defects
Report all incidents, near misses, and non-conformances promptly
Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) protocols
Carry out installation tasks according to scope and drawings, and compile complete handover packs
Maintain the condition of rigging vehicles and report any issues
Requirements
Proven background in telecom rigging
Valid UK driving licence
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail with a strong safety-first mindset
Experience working at height and in line with telecom rigging standards
Proficient in installing antennas, feeders, MHAs, cabling, steelwork, and performing terminations
Electrical and commissioning experience desirable
Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required
