Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead our 5G/ORAN project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and closure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management, risk management, technical software projects, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address any issues or risks.
Financial Management:
• Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Forecast and track project financials, including expenditures and revenues.
• Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
• Monitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Communicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and project team members.
Technical Software Projects:
• Oversee the delivery of technical software projects related to 5G/ORAN technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, vendors, and partners.
• Communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Address stakeholder concerns and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience managing large-scale telecom projects, with a focus on 5G/ORAN technology.
• Strong financial management skills, with experience managing project budgets of at least £5 million.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Experience delivering technical software projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
• PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of telecom industry standards, protocols, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
