Online Surveyor (Offshore – U.S. Waters) 



We are seeking a highly experienced Online Surveyor to join our Client’s offshore survey team, supporting the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm (CVOW). Working aboard an offshore vessel, you will play a critical role in remote data collection and positioning activities essential to the success of this major offshore wind project. 





  • Project: Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm (CVOW) 







  • Rotation: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off 







  • Working Hours: 12-hour days 







  • Location: Offshore – U.S. Waters 







  • Rate: Neg 







  • Contract Type: Offshore Rotation 







  • Contract Duration: 20th July  2025 – 31st December 2025 





 



About the Role 



As an Online Surveyor, you will contribute directly to the execution of subsea works by ensuring high-quality geospatial data is accurately captured and processed. You will work closely with the Survey Party Chief and the wider offshore team to deliver survey operations to the highest industry standards. 



 



Key Responsibilities 





  • Carry out all online survey operations onboard the vessel. 







  • Monitor and collect data from various survey sensors and positioning systems. 







  • Support calibration and maintenance of survey equipment. 







  • Assist with preparation of as-built documentation and daily activity reports. 







  • Maintain accurate logs and contribute to survey deliverables. 







  • Report to the Survey Party Chief and support coordination of survey activities. 





 



Candidate Profile 



Technical Requirements 





  • At least 7 years’ experience in marine or offshore construction surveying. 







  • Strong understanding of hydrographic survey methods and equipment. 







  • Proficient in offshore navigation and positioning systems. 







  • Experience with subsea acoustic positioning and multibeam echo sounders is desirable.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in offshore environments under project-specific conditions. 





 



Qualifications and Certifications 



Education 





  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrography, or related discipline. 





Mandatory Certifications 





  • Full GWO 







  • VCA 







  • BOSIET 







  • HUET 







  • NEBOSH 







  • Chester Step Test 







  • Shoulder Measurement 







  • OCS B1 Wind Visa (essential for offshore work in U.S. waters) 





 



Language Requirements 





  • Fluent spoken and written English. 







  • Additional language proficiency is advantageous.
