As the Head of Enterprise Software Business, you will take charge of driving revenue, managing vendor partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the enterprise software business, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Vendor & Partner Relationships: Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key enterprise software vendors and channel partners to ensure continued business growth.
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within the enterprise software space and implement strategies to capitalize on them.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing team, including sales, pre-sales, and marketing professionals, to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Industry Insight: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to adapt business strategies accordingly.
- Compliance & Licensing: Oversee compliance with software licensing regulations and distribution agreements to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to create tailored IT solutions for enterprise customers.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the business unit, including P&L accountability, with a focus on achieving sustainable growth.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: A proven track record of at least 8 years in IT distribution or the enterprise software industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the enterprise software solutions market, including key players and trends, specifically within the South African context.
- Vendor & Partner Expertise: Strong experience managing relationships with enterprise software vendors and channel partners.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, drive performance, and inspire a shared vision.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets, P&L responsibility, and ensuring profitability.
- Strategic Vision: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to develop and execute strategies that drive long-term business success.
- Academic Background: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA would be a distinct advantage.
