Senior Procurement Associate (Data Center projects)
Location: Qatar
A leading, fast-growing engineering consultancy specialising in hyperscale data centres and mission-critical infrastructure is seeking an experienced procurement Associate to join its expanding team.
Working within a high-growth environment, you will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services that support complex engineering and construction projects
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering and construction projects.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to secure the best commercial and operational outcomes.
- Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, lead times, payment terms, warranties, and contracts.
- Prepare commercial evaluations and procurement recommendations for stakeholder approval.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, commercial, project delivery, and finance teams.
- Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules to support project milestones.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
- Drive supplier relationship management, cost-saving initiatives, and procurement best practices.
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management roles.
- 5+ years experience within data centres, engineering, construction, MEP or Engineering related project-based environments.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management expertise.
- Knowledge of procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to manage multiple procurement packages and project deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
