The Opportunity
As the Project & Change Communications Specialist, you'll become a trusted partner to programme leaders, project managers and executive stakeholders, developing communication strategies that support business change from planning through to delivery.
You'll create compelling communications, manage stakeholder engagement and ensure every project has a clear, consistent and effective communication approach.
What You'll Be Doing
Communication Strategy & Planning
- Develop communication strategies and plans that support large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Define key messaging for different stakeholder groups.
- Select the most effective communication channels for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure communication activities align with project milestones, governance and approval processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and map stakeholders across the business.
- Build strong relationships with project teams, leadership and business units.
- Develop engagement strategies that encourage adoption and support organisational change.
- Ensure stakeholders receive timely, relevant and meaningful project communications.
Content Creation
- Produce high-quality communication materials including:
- Project updates
- Leadership communications
- Newsletters
- Email campaigns
- Presentations
- Executive briefing packs
- Translate complex technical initiatives into clear, engaging business language.
- Work closely with project teams to gather updates and communicate progress effectively.
Change Communications
- Support organisational change by developing communication plans that drive awareness, understanding and adoption.
- Reinforce key messages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help employees navigate change through clear, consistent and engaging communication.
Project Communications
- Keep project teams informed of milestones, risks, changes and key decisions.
- Coordinate communication across multiple workstreams and departments.
- Leverage internal communication platforms to improve collaboration and engagement.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Produce reports on communication performance, engagement levels and overall project impact.
- Recommend improvements to communication processes and change adoption strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Communications Specialist, Change Communications Specialist, Internal Communications Consultant, or similar role.
- Experience supporting enterprise projects, digital transformation or technology programmes.
- Excellent written, editing and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams and global stakeholders.
- Understanding of Change Management principles and communication best practices.
You'll Stand Out If You Have
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology or digital transformation programmes.
- Exposure to recognised Change Management methodologies.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations and strategic communication plans.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
- Experience creating visual communication materials, infographics and engaging presentations.
