Planning & Scheduling Manager
Location: Doha, Qatar
A leading international engineering and digital infrastructure organization is looking for an experienced Planning Manager / Scheduler to oversee project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting across complex Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.
Join a growing team delivering advanced digital infrastructure projects and play a key role in ensuring projects are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered on schedule. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, testing, and handover.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrated baseline programs covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing, and handover.
- Monitor project progress, critical paths, delays, variances, trends, and key milestones.
- Prepare look-ahead programs, progress forecasts, mitigation measures, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate programs interfaces across design, procurement, construction, MEP, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Develop and maintain commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) programs where applicable.
- Review and challenge programs submitted by consultants, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
- Ensure approved project changes are reflected in programme updates and completion forecasts.
- Prepare dashboards, milestone trackers, progress reports, and management presentations.
- Support resource planning, project sequencing, delivery strategies, and scenario analysis.
- Identify programme risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
- Maintain consistent planning, scheduling, reporting, and project-control standards across multiple projects.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of project planning and scheduling experience.
- Experience within Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Infrastructure, Construction, or MEP projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and other industry-standard scheduling tools.
- Proven experience developing and managing integrated programs across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of critical-path analysis, baseline management, progress measurement, forecasting, and project reporting.
- Good knowledge of construction sequencing, MEP systems, commissioning, and testing activities.
- Ability to review, analyze, and challenge consultant and contractor programs.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
Due to the urgent nature of this requirement, preference will be given to candidates currently based in Qatar.
