Inside Sales Representative
Role Summary
The Inside Sales Representative focuses on consolidating and generating prospect leads, then moving them through discovery and qualification within an assigned region/territory. In this role, you will partner closely with regional/territory sales representatives (Account Managers and/or Channel Managers) to progress leads into qualified opportunities across both existing and new customer accounts.
You will engage key prospect and customer stakeholders, clearly communicate the value of our product portfolio, and prepare quotes for products and service level agreement (SLA) services. You’ll work directly with customers to support new business opportunities.
You will also support regional/territory sales representatives (Account Managers and/or Channel Managers) with internal activities such as preparing for regional/account strategy reviews, account planning, and forecasting.
This role relies heavily on Salesforce (CRM platform) to document and actively manage forecasted opportunities, and to maintain accurate account and contact records.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct outbound prospecting to generate leads, with the goal of converting prospects into qualified leads and opportunities.
• Qualify and quantify sales leads through external discovery conversations.
• Support account and opportunity management across the full sales cycle, including relationship management and product evaluation, while partnering with sales representatives.
• Prepare sales quotations for products and SLA services for customers and channel partners.
• Own follow-up and follow-through through purchase order closure for both prospective new and existing accounts.
• Maintain Salesforce data to ensure records are accurate, current, and well organized for the supported region/territory.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline forecasts to support Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) cadence reporting.
• Collaborate with field sales and solutions engineering to proactively manage opportunities and achieve territory objectives.
• Manage your workload effectively, including goal setting, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Support marketing initiatives as needed, including trade shows and company meetings (quarterly and annual).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Two or more years of successful sales experience.
• Demonstrated interest in internet-related technology; telecommunications industry knowledge is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a professional demeanor.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, where applicable.
