We are partnering with an established organisation in the gaming and betting sector to appoint a senior Director of Strategy & Performance to join its Executive Management team in Libreville, Gabon.
This is a broad strategic leadership position spanning Finance, Commercial Performance, Marketing, Strategy and Business Development, with responsibility for improving overall business performance, strengthening profitability and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Location: Libreville, Gabon
Full relocation to Libreville is required.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a senior internationally experienced executive, ideally with significant professional experience across Africa, emerging markets or other complex international markets.
The successful candidate should bring:
- 15+ years of professional experience, including several years at senior management or executive level.
- Significant experience leading or overseeing a Finance function, including budgeting, reporting, profitability and financial performance.
- Demonstrable responsibility for commercial performance, including revenue, margins, sales performance and growth.
- Experience extending beyond Finance into Commercial, Marketing, Strategy and/or Business Development.
- Strong P&L, financial analysis, KPI and performance-management capabilities.
- Experience analysing and improving the profitability of products, business activities and distribution channels.
- Strong experience operating within international and multicultural organisations.
- Significant exposure to African or emerging markets is highly desirable.
- The ability to operate effectively across different cultures, markets and business environments.
- Professional fluency in French.
- Strong leadership, analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Experience within gaming, sports betting, consumer goods, retail, fintech, telecommunications or another high-volume commercial environment would be advantageous.
An MBA or Executive MBA would also be beneficial.
This is not a purely Finance position. We are particularly interested in executives who have progressed beyond a traditional Finance remit and can demonstrate how they have used financial insight to influence commercial strategy, profitability, revenue growth, marketing and wider business development.
Candidates must be willing to relocate full-time to Libreville, Gabon.
