They are seeking a Deal Desk & Pricing Lead to own the commercial backbone of the revenue organization. This role will lead deal desk operations, pricing strategy, and commercial governance for complex and strategic transactions, ensuring deals are structured for profitability, scalability, and long-term business success.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Technical teams while helping shape the company's commercial strategy during a period of significant growth.
Position Overview
The Deal Desk & Pricing Lead manages the review, approval, and optimization of complex commercial transactions. This individual will lead pricing strategy across the company's portfolio of products and services while ensuring margin discipline, financial rigor, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills, commercial acumen, pricing expertise, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership on strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Desk & Commercial Support
- Own the deal desk function for non-standard, complex, and strategic transactions.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Technical teams to evaluate commercial terms.
- Review deals for profitability, margin performance, revenue implications, and overall business viability.
- Manage approval workflows for discounts, custom pricing, contract structures, and strategic investments.
- Develop scalable frameworks that balance growth objectives and financial performance.
- Serve as a commercial partner to Sales by helping accelerate complex transactions.
Pricing Strategy
- Lead pricing strategy across multiple products and service offerings.
- Establish pricing guardrails, discount thresholds, and profitability frameworks.
- Develop pricing models for new products, services, and packaging strategies.
- Maintain rate cards, pricing structures, and approval matrices.
- Analyze the impact of pricing decisions on revenue growth and profitability.
Pricing Execution
- Manage day-to-day pricing approvals.
- Partner with technical and solution teams to support custom pricing scenarios.
- Develop and maintain deal-level profitability and margin models.
- Monitor pricing effectiveness, discounting trends, and market competitiveness.
Deal Economics & Reporting
- Produce executive reporting on pricing performance, discount trends, deal economics, and margins.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable business recommendations.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Finance leadership on forecasting, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance on profitability analysis and business planning.
- Collaborate with technical and customer-facing teams on complex deal structures.
- Work closely with Legal on contract terms, risk assessment, and commercial protections.
- Support revenue recognition and financial compliance considerations on non-standard agreements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Pricing, Commercial Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Finance, or a related field.
- Experience supporting complex B2B technology sales organizations.
- Experience in cloud, AI infrastructure, or technology environments strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong data analysis experience using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Experience working with CRM systems and revenue operations platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy, deal structuring, and profitability analysis.
- Understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and revenue principles.
- Strong business judgment and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cloud computing, infrastructure services, enterprise technology, software, managed services, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Exposure to usage-based or consumption-based business models.
- Experience supporting rapidly scaling technology organizations.
- Knowledge of CPQ platforms and revenue technology ecosystems.

Compensation & Benefits
Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Base salary of $135,000 – $160,000
