Customer Security Director

A leading global technology organization is seeking an experienced Customer Security Director to act as a trusted advisor to telecommunications customers across security, privacy, risk management, and business continuity.

This is a highly visible customer-facing leadership role where you will support customers throughout both pre-sales and post-sales engagements, helping them understand security requirements, address security challenges, and align solutions to their business and regulatory objectives. The successful candidate will serve as the primary security interface between customers and the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers and senior stakeholders


• Provide security, privacy, and business continuity guidance across customer engagements


• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities from a security perspective


• Conduct security assessments, risk reviews, and gap analyses


• Translate customer security requirements into solution and service recommendations


• Lead customer security workshops and executive discussions


• Support contract, compliance, and assurance activities related to security and privacy


• Collaborate with technical, sales, delivery, and product teams to address customer requirements


• Act as the primary customer-facing contact for security-related matters

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience within cybersecurity


• Strong customer-facing security consulting, advisory, or architecture experience


• Experience supporting enterprise or telecommunications customers


• Strong understanding of telecom security and solution security


• Knowledge of risk management, security governance, privacy, and compliance


• Familiarity with modern telecom technologies including Open RAN, Core Networks, Network Slicing, Distributed Cloud, and Managed Services


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• Ability to engage confidently with both technical and executive audiences
