Placement of the week: Support Engineer

Ahmed Abouzaid from First Point Group's Dubai office assisted his client, a leading information and communication technology company to find a Support Engineer. 

The challenge

On discussing the various challenges when recruiting for this role, Ahmed Abouzaid commented: "I had to spend time with the client to understand their onboarding process, which allowed for me to find ways of improving the process for both the client and candidate. However, the major challenge was convincing the right candidate to move to a country which at times can be somewhat volatile".

The result

This placement was successful in many ways. Partnering with strong local suppliers allowed for a much easier onboarding process for candidates going forward.
