Placement of the week: Staff Software Engineer

Edgar Guzman from First Point Group's Dallas office, partnered with his client, a local access network company to recruit a Staff Software Engineer to help on a major project that will focus on innovating and pursuing market opportunities .

The clients specified that they needed a candidate to be located in, or willing to relocate to, Monterrey. This posed a challenge as Edgar had an excellent candidate that he knew had the right experience and drive for the role, but was not located within the city. Edgar Guzman commented: "I sent the candidate a year ago for a similar role, he didn't get it due to his residency and because he was only looking for remote opportunities."

After sending the candidate to the client and persuading them to organise an interview, the Hiring Manager agreed and met with him. The candidate impressed the Hiring Manager with his extensive technical background and deep interest of the role, he was offered the role immediately after.
