Placement of the week: Field Service Manager

Ted Ko and Claye Moore from First Point Group's Dallas office assisted their client, an energy storage expert, to recruit a Field Service Manager based in the SoCAL region, whose main purpose it would be to deliver and complete new projects that the client had previously lined up.

Recruitment challenge:

The main challenge was finding a candidate based in the SoCAL region who had relevant and sufficient experience in managing and delivering project within the telecoms industry. However, during the recruitment process there was the unforeseen challenge in which a competitor of our client showed interest in the candidate and presented an offer. Clay commented,"We did experience a setback when a competing offer came in last minute, but we were able to work with the client to have them match their offer." 

The result:

Despite the challenges that arose (especially when the competing offer came through), the candidate accepted the offer with our client and started straight away. The client was impressed with not only the instant impact the candidate had but and also the quality of candidates we brought to them. Subsequently, the client has asked us to help them recruit for further telecoms role. "First Point Group lives up to the expectation for both UK and US operations for us". commented their HR Manager
