The telecommunications recruitment market in the UAE continues to be busy and there seems to be no sign of it slowing down. The growing desire by the UAE to be “a leader in the 5G domain in order to advance technology and communication throughout the region” as reported by Gulf News, is spearheading this recruitment drive. And with the UAE telecoms market expected to register a compound annual growth rate of 3.5% between 2022 and 2027 (as cited by Modor Intelligence), supported by government initiatives and well-established policies; it’s no surprise to see the UAE telecommunications market doing so well.

It’s exciting to see telecoms recruitment so busy here in the Middle East”.

Several roles, in particular, are the most popular jobs in telecommunications across the UAE currently:

  • Solution Architect – IP/RF
  • Open RAN Engineers
  • Virtual and Cloud Engineers
  • Optimization Engineers; Integration Engineers
  • Back Office Core Engineers

The Smartest City in the World?

As reported by Modor Intelligence, “Dubai is poised to become one of the smartest cities in the world, facilitated by advancements in technology, innovation, and initiatives, like Dubai Data Strategy, Dubai 10X, Smart Dubai 2021, Dubai Blockchain Strategy, and Dubai Pulse Platform, among others. Moreover, the Dubai Internet of Things (IoT) strategy aims to build the most advanced IoT ecosystem to transform the city into a model smart city. Such initiatives would offer massive opportunities for the growth of the studied market.”

This really is an exciting time to work in the UAE and the Middle East as a whole. There are so many opportunities for expert telco professionals from the USA, UK, and Europe to develop their careers whilst earning a very good salary.
